Bedfordshire

  • Woodside Eggs Ltd - PYO eggs? Call before you go to verify.
    Mancroft Rd, Aley Green, Luton, Bedfordshire, England, LU14DG. Phone: 01582 841044. (This is an animal farm and leisure/amusement park, but apparently they have pyo eggs.

Cambridgeshire

  • J F B Ivens - Sweet Corn, Pumpkins and Squash
    Peterborough Chesterton, Peterborough. Tel. 01 733 233270. Directions: On Oundle Road 200 yards West of Alwalton / A1 flyover.  If approaching from A1 Northbound carriageway, turn off Left 1 mile North of junction 17.  From A1 Southbound, turn off into Alwalton and follow signs to Chesterton.  Open: June to October, 7 days a week during the season, Mon to Friday 9am to 7.30pm, Saturday / Sunday 9am to 5pm. Also,  Raspberries, Black / Red Currants,  Blackberries. Summer vegetables including Broad Beans, Spinach, Courgettes, 

  • Sunclose Farm - PYO: raspberries,  black and  redcurrants, Christmas trees
    Butt Lane, Milton. Tel.  01223 860522. Directions: A10 Ely Road N from A14/A10 interchange. Turn left at footbridge up Butt Lane . Farm 0.5m on right. Farm four miles from centre of Cambridge . Fruit picking within 100 yards of car park.  Approved by Nature's Choice, Assured Produce. The farm shop also has  our own cherries and asparagus. Cream, honey, preserves, potatoes. Facilities: Toilets, ample parking.

Essex

    Causeway End, Thaxted Road, Wimbish, Saffron, Walden. Tel.01371 830387. Directions: On B184 Saffron Walden/Thaxted rd 4 miles S of Saffron Walden on R. Clearly signposted. PYO large range soft fruits, apples plums plus summer vegetables. PYO Asparagus in April/May (call to check when ready). Farm shop with range of produce. Tea room, childrens play area, picnic area. Facilities: Ample parking, children's play area, nearby pub, picnic area, tea room, plants and shrubs, easy access for disabled, toilets, caravan club.

  • Lathcoates Farm - PYO: apples, red and blackcurrants, raspberries, Beehive Lane, Galleywood, Chelmsford. Tel.01245 353021. Open: Farm Shop is open Monday to Thursday & Saturday 9:00 -5:00, Fridays 9:00 to 6:00, Sundays 10:00 to 4:00, The Farm Shop is open all year round. Our specialty is English apples - we grow 40 varieties in our orchards. The season begins in August and ends in April or May. A date for your diary is Saturday October 18th. Then we will hold our annual Apple Day and Farmers' Market when you will be able to sample 30 varieties of apple grown at Lathcoats and enjoy many other attractions. Directions: A12 Galleywood exit. Take B1007 towards Galleywood for one mile, at traffic lights straight over. After 200meters, Turn right just past Helix Garage, into Beehive La, B1009. Farm is less than 1 mile on L.
    45 hectares of apples, 40 varieties grown, also 3 hectares strawberries and other soft fruit, plus cherries, plums, pumpkins. You can rent lots of varieties of apple trees and get to keep all the apples at harvest time.
