This page provides a detailed list of Wisconsin (counties p through w)'s pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hay rides and other Halloween farm stuff!!   Click here to see the listings of pumpkin patches, corn mazes and farms in Wisconsin (counties P through W) or just scroll down the page! Some are farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple roadside stands.  All should have loads of pumpkins to choose from.  To really make it fun for  your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a corn maze, spook house, or hayride.  There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of course, the  more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free. ALWAYS call before you go to confirm all information, they don't always report changes to me!

We have loads of related resources here, too.

On our Pick-your-own website, we also have pages with our own simple instructions on canning, freezing and drying  many other fruits and vegetables, such as  how to make jam, apple butter, applesauce, spaghetti sauce, salsa, pickles, ketchup or freezing corn  (these links open new pages, just close them to return here).   Be sure to come back at Christmas if you are looking for a cut-your-own Christmas tree farm!   Look at the bottom of the page for links to resources on home canning, picking tips, recipes, etc..

The girls loved the petting zoo, the bounce houses, the train barrel ride and the corn maze. The activities kept them busy for a couple of hours. We took tons of fun pictures and made many memories. "
A visitor writes on September 28, 2010: "This is our second year going to Bergmann's and we love all the additions! The Haunted Granary is super fun at night. We really were spooked! My kids and nephews LOVED the bounce houses (they have 2) and it was totally worth the extra $1 per child. They were in there for 45 minutes!! The pedal park is also fun for my kids as they get tired of the same old trikes here at our place. As a parent who had a 3 year old and an infant I was so happy that the pumpkins were already picked for us. I did NOT want to drag a stroller through a patch and pick them. Garret, our barrel train driver was super funny and made the horn go every time we asked. finally the corn pits were GREAT!! They had one for littler kids with pails and shovels and such and then a larger one for the bigger kids. I really appreciated this as I saw the 7 year old boys from another group tear off for the bigger pit! It was a great day and we had a blast!! I hope we are making this a annual tradition!"

A visitor writes on September 22, 2012: (negative) "We went on our annual family apple picking outing today, Sept. 22, 2012, to Apple Holler. It was a truly disappointing experience for the 1st time in years. We were surprised with having to pay to park. We noticed everyone was newly uniformed and the play area had been revamped. We were shocked at $60 for a bag to pick apples. (Less than $40 last year & even less in prior years). After paying to rent a wagon, we were told that you can no longer walk the orchard to the apples. We were herded to the tractors, driven out to where the apples were ready and dropped off. The orchard itself was pretty bare but in front of the rows were giant boxes of pre-picked apples. NOT the experience we were used to at Apple Holler. If I want to pay $60 to "pick" apples out of a bin, I'd go to a gourmet supermarket! A heads up from the staff about the changes when we were buying the bag would've been nice. We left. Never ate or "picked" a single apple. "
A visitor writes on September 19, 2012: (negative) "I visited Apple Holler 9/15/12 and was taken back by their prices, customer service and the lack of actual "Apple Picking". I took my 3 year old son to enjoy some apple picking, what we got was a hole in our pocket from all the things requiring money. First off I was quoted by the Cashier when you first purchase your ticket to enter that the $60 bag included apple picking and the park area as well as the hay ride and some kiddie rides. I wouldn't have bothered making the purchase if that wasn't true. We go to the tractor and boy do they give you the real life experience of being hearded like a farm animal. There are no signs of where you go or stand or can you simply walk out to the field like they used to allow. There's simply a "Abercrombie & Fitch" high school graduate yelling at people to back up or to step back. There was no politeness in his voice so again hearding comes to mind. The "hay ride" (which was simply a big tractor pulling a wagon or train style smaller wagons) was nice, the gentleman driving the tractors were polite and well mannered. Once you arrive at the area designated for picking you are greeted by yet again another "A&F" student surrounded by crates saying there are no pickings to simply grab your selection from these overnight refrigerated apples. Once you're done you hop back on the wagon & ride back up front to meet the "A&F" drill sargeant yet again yelling out commands. They check your receipt & you're free to go. Mind you having a 3 year old it's not that simple he wants to feed the goats & play. We stop at a slide which has no signage stating tickets are required to slide down. The young lady being her first day was nice enough to allow my son to go down on the slide because I explained to her as well as another parent before me that we purchased $60 bags & were informed that the price included everything. (I as well double checked with that sales rep and pointed at the playing area & again she confirmed, "Yes everything in that area") My son decided going down once wasn't enough & ran back up, again there are no signs so why not. The same gentleman that was previously hearding people like sheep happened to switch places with the nice young lady who was there before. He decided to get in a yelling match with my mother who accompanied my son up the slide & demand she get a ticket for riding on the slide. Again like a broken record I informed him of the situation, he decided to give some attitude & then once done at the slide decided to follow us through the entire children's area. I paid $60 for a sack of refrigerated apples, two times down a slide, and one angry "Abercrombie & Fitch" high school student who likes to play drill sargeant. I refuse to be yelled at someone twice as young as me, they need to retrain their Customer Service staff because apparently manners & communication are poorly trained if at that."

POP QUIZ: Anyone know what and where this is? A visitor writes: "I was driving through Wisconsin on I90, when Ii spotted what looked like a vegetable/pumpkin farm produce store. What caught my eye was this enormous pumpkin figure set atop a silo. it wasn't too far from the highway but we were moving so fast and hubby was so intent on getting us home that the name and exact location just flew by. I think it may have been in close proximity to Janesville maybe around exits 171 a or b, or 175 and perhaps near routs 51 14 or 11 on my map."
    Lisa provided the answer!:
"I have been there and the family is super nice and they have a ton of fresh produce, plants and flowers. Anyway, you can take the Hwy 26 exit, which is the second exit for Janesville. Go right off of the exit. At the next light take another right which will be HWY 14. Then at the 2nd light take another right, which will be Kennedy Rd. Then take Kennedy to the first stop sign which will be Townline rd. then take a left. The farm will be over a large hill and on the right."

A visitor writes on October 20, 2012: "Attempted to use a 'package' special at Baase's. $19.95 for access to everything one time. Arrived at 10am to start with the corn maze because that's the time they advertised it starting and then all other services started at 10:30am. The store wouldn't let us pay for the package because it wasn't 10:30am, so they wanted us to pay $8.00 per person for the corn maze and then return to purchase the $20 package that includes the cost of the corn maze, therefore paying twice! The website also says you can use credit cards to pay but the booths outside where you pay for the packages are cash only. Horrible service as they wouldn't change anything and told us to either pay or stand around and wait with a 3.5yr old for 20 minutes until we could purchase a package. Completely disappointed in their service...as a lifelong member of the Muskego community that Baase's started in, this is not how things are run in Muskego but we went to the Colgate location because it offered more activities - the poor customer service is enough to make me not want to ever go back. Have already used social media outlets to get the word out to more people. It's unfortunate given the history the family has in our community. "
