Find a local pumpkin patch

Looking for a local pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayride, gourds and other Halloween activities in Cleveland, Akron and northeastern Ohio?  Scroll down this page and you will see the all of thoses in Cleveland, Akron and northeastern Ohio, sorted by county. Some are farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple roadside stands.  Most have loads of pumpkins to choose from.  To really make it fun for  your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a corn maze, spook house, or hayride.  There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of course, the  more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free. ALWAYS call before you go to confirm the info, they don't always report changes to me!

Everyone was so pleasant to talk to, my nephew (3) and niece (1 1/2) loved the run around room. There were a lot of families there. I look forward to going back, especially next year to pick some strawberries. I've never done that before. This was my sister-in-laws first ever visit to a farm. They don't really have farms in San Diego where she was born & raised. She had a blast as well. Will definately return! They had a corn maze, tractor pulled hay ride, pumpkins by the pound or as many as you can pick up for $14. The farmers market was an indoor building. Outhouses for bathrooms with hand sanitizer. They also had a food tent but we did not visit that. The hay ride went thru a scarecrow setup, very cute, not scary. People directed you to parking. There was also a hay jumping area for children under 12, free. I believe they accepted Mastercard, Visa, check & cash. Many other vegetables & fruits available throughout the year. From strawberries, zucchini, squash, apples, onions, tomatos, raspberries, blueberries, grapes, corn, pumpkins, etc. "

A visitor writes on September 06, 2011: "In Response to the comment above written from a visitor on October 23, 2010. It's obvious the person who wrote the review is one of the competitors of Rockin'-R-Ranch. Rockin'-R-Ranch is one of the best and most well-known pumpkin patches I've ever been to. They have more to offer than an ordinary farm with pumpkins and hayrides. Our family enjoys the fest so much that we come year after year to experience it. The show is as good as something you would see at an amusement park. They have so much to do, a very professional staff and its very safe and well worth the money. When I take my kids to the fair it costs $5 for a ponyride alone, my kids can ride ponies all day long as often as they want. We spend the whole day and eveythings unlimited. For every 1 negative comment, theres 100 people who love what they do at this place. My kids had a choice to go to the circus and they chose rockin'r-ranch to visit for the tenth year in a row. I highly recommend this place!!!! "
A visitor writes on October 23, 2010: "Visited this today with our 2 1/2 year old. Farm is manned by surly teenagers who don't even bother to say hi to the kids. Face painting is awful, several parents were commented on how poor it was, and the same brushes and paint are used over and over on kids without cleaning in between, totally unsanitary. Pony rides are very unsafe, horses are crowded too close when walking (just asking for a nip and a kick) and farm "helpers' that guide them know nothing of horses (one of them called stirrups holes!)Small children riding horses are pretty much unsupervised, the horse leaders pay no attention. Dance and song show is unbelievably lame, using moth eaten garage sale costumes and really lackluster performance. Scary "grownup" haunted house stuff (skeletons, etc) is right there near little kids farm stuff where wee ones can see it. Totally overpriced and disappointing, don't recommened it to anybody with small children."

Very unpleasant; yelled at me in front of our handicapped son because he picked a couple (way overpriced) apples that were "not ripe" and they were not on their pre-printed business card of dates (which we did not have). Couldn't care that we were purchasing customers-only went on and on about potential future customers. Downright nasty and ruined what had been a beautiful day for us and our son. Do NOT recommend this place and will never go back!!!"

"My wife and I took our daughters to Pine Crest Farms in Medina County on 10/10/10 for some pumpkin picking, games and the petting farm. It sounded like an excellent time based on your website. However, sadly it wasn't. We were having a nice time until during the petting farm my 19 month old grabbed the fence which was still live with electricity. There are no signs and no one mentioned that the fences needed to be avoided during the petting farm. Our daughter was so stunned she didn't let go and we had to pull her off the fence. We called the farm owner and he barely apologized and asked what we wanted him to do. Which was plainly obvious....mark the fence so this doesn't happen to another little child. All he responded with was "if it makes you feel any better, I've been shocked before and your daughter is going to be alright". Needless to say, we will not be going back. This is not a farm were safety is put first for children. I'd recommend avoiding this place until management looks to protect its littlest customers. "

A visitor writes on November 12, 2011: "Our family loved it. This corn maze is geared towards family and younger children so it was much nicer than the larger ones that keep the teenagers and adults occupied. The kids aren't too tired on this maze as it only takes about 45 mins to complete (if taking your time and enjoying the walk) We took a wagon over to the pumpkin patch and picked out the pumpkins we wanted. The kids made little sand art necklaces and painted cute pictures. They played on the round hay bales and slide while we sat at the picnic tables and had some soup. They had a birthday party going on while we were there and overheard a boy scout group was scheduled later that day. They have different events scheduled, the local fire department brought a ladder truck one day, they have one night that they are open after dark FLASHLIGHT NIGHT.   They have a petting zoo with farm animals and even had 2 baby deer. A hayride for the family, round bale obstacle course, corn box (sandbox except with corn) and if it's quiet enough and the ducks don't think anyone is around, they'll come and eat the corn, and then the kids chase them away. They have great honey that is made onsite but not accessible for viewing (good thing because we don't like bees) homemade maple syrup is also available and made onsite. There is an apple orchard but I don't think it's "pick your own" but the already picked apples are available. They have a pumpkin patch to pick out your own pumpkins. Birthday parties, field trips and groups can be scheduled"

A visitor writes on September 27, 2013: "We took a group of moms and toddler to this farm last year. While near the corn pit a family dog bit three different children on the face. One of them ended up going to the emergency room. When we told the owner about the incident, he acted somewhat indifferent and said the dog was old, never offering to even put the dog in the house. When I told someone this year about the incident, they commented that the same thing happened to them last year. :("

Advertised face painting...did not have. The petting zoo was 2 donkeys and 2 goats that did not look that healthy and you had to go inside their manure filled area to pet them. It could have at least been cleaned up a little bit. There was no straw or haybale maze for children. And last of all, there were no pumpkins left in the patch to pick. All around disappointed. Will not go back."
