Some are farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple roadside stands. All should have loads of pumpkins to choose from. To really make it fun for your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a corn maze, spook house, or hayride. There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of course, the more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free. ALWAYS call before you go to confirm all information, they don't always report changes to me!

- St. Peter's by the Sea United Methodist Church

1541 Waldron Road, Corpus Christi, TX. Phone: 361-937-1456. Open: every day from 10 am to dark from October 10th through October 31. The church also will host a fall festival from 11 am to 4 pm October 31. The free event will include hayrides, food and games for adults and children. (ADDED: September 30, 2009)
- Refugio County Safe Trick-or-Treating
705 N Alamo St., Refugio, TX 78377. Phone: 361-526-4533. Open: Refugio Police Department hosts a safe trick-or-treat every year on Halloween, 3:30 to 5pm on October 31st. Lists of participating businesses can be picked up at the police department, located at 600 Commerce St., during regular business hours. The RPD can be reached by phone at (361)526-4533.. Directions: Call for directions. Payment: . RDP Safe Trick-or-Treating is completely free. Some participating business are not located in the vicinity of the police department (downtown). However, a large portion of the downtown businesses participate. Walking and/or driving will be required. (Suggested by a visitor, ADDED: October 23, 2011)
