This page provides a detailed list of San Antonio and surrounding counties's pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hay rides and other Halloween farm stuff!! Just scroll down this page! Some are farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple roadside stands. All should have loads of pumpkins to choose from. To really make it fun for your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a corn maze, spook house, or hayride. There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of course, the more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free. A visitor writes on October 24, 2009: "We visited on 10/24 and had a great time. Our kids are 1 & 2 years old, and there was so much to keep them occupied. We were also very happy that we weren't nickel and dimed to death. The $8 admission was so reasonable for everything the kids had to do, and the only extra was face painting (worth the extra $3); food and pumpkins. The food was very good, and I was able to feed my family of 4 for $20. The pumpkin prices were also reasonable. This farm family is providing fun that people can afford and I really appreciate that. I would recommend this farm for anyone with little kids. "
A visitor writes: "They have some goats, llamas, etc that you can purchase food to feed. They have a playground for kids. They take you to the orchard via hayride. They have pumpkins and other activities including a hay maze in the fall. They are very kid friendly and a lot of fun to go to, and about the same distance as Fredericksburg." -
