farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm
stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple
roadside stands. Most have loads of pumpkins to choose from. To really make it
fun for your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a corn
maze, spook house, or hayride. There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of
course, the more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free.

Pick-your-own pumpkins are $6 per pumpkin. The weather has been
great for pumpkin-growing this year, and the fields are full of
great big pumpkins ready to be picked. This is a great chance
to visit a real working farm with your family. While you're here, be
sure to see: The pine-tree maze- find your way to the teepee and
crawl out the wormhole, Real farm animals, including calves,
horses, llamas, barn cats and free-range chickens (no petting
allowed). Concessions on weekends and Columbus Day provided by
