Association (ALBA) is an organic farm business training center for aspiring

organically-grown produce and pumpkins. Fall Harvest Celebration activities

Some of the activities for the event will be the ever popular corn bin,
cotton seed pile, mini hay maze, cotton seed tunnel, corn cannons, hay ride

and other fundraising activities. Also, a Scarecrow Alley and a Pet Costume
Contest!! A Pumpkin Carving Contest will also have different division and

Jareds Pumpkin Festival - Mid October - see their website

great community event where families can view pumpkins that range
from 50lbs up to 1200 pounds or larger. The event is free for most
activities including a straw maze, an obstacle course, Jared's
Galleria of Ghouls, a storyteller, 1st annual dog costume contest, a
fall theme baking competition and the viewing of the largest
pumpkins in the state. We have been privileged to set a state record
for the past three years for the largest pumpkin weighed and are
looking forward to setting a record for the 4th consecutive year.
There will be food vendors including ice cream, hot dogs, bbq and
fresh roasted hatch chili peppers. A bouncy castle and face painting
will be available for a small fee. The event starts at 10 am on
Saturday September 25th with the Junior division (under 16)
weigh-off, and the Senior division (over 16) will start at
approximately 11 am. Those interested in entering a pumpkin in the
competition can do so for $15. In addition to Giant Pumpkins, you
can enter long gourds, giant squash and tomatoes at no charge.

You get a free pumpkin with maze ticket - guests pick pumpkin from the field. We don't have pumpkin picking separately from the maze/hayride. Last

! 3.9 miles of corn maze and is so much fun for the whole family.

downtown. What started out as an idea by Wally Thurow in 1956 to offer
something creative for the students of Sycamore, has grown from a
neighborhood display on his front yard into the towns biggest city wide
event beginning on Wednesday with the Opening Ceremony and cake cutting.
The festival begins with over 1000 entries in the Lions Decorated Pumpkin

pumpkin growers competing in the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth. Growers

Festival is a fun, family event sponsored by the Stoweflake Resort and Spa
and other local sponsors. The goal is to give kids and adults a fun chance
to build something with their hands and compete. Three rounds of competitive
pumpkin chuckin' at 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm, with awards shortly after
the last round. Dogs and outside food or beverage are not allowed at the
event. Admission to the Festival will cost $5 for ages 5 and over, free for

by the Stoweflake. The Festival is a one-day event where Do-It-Yourself
mechanical wizards of all ages attempt to launch pumpkins as far as possible
with trebuchets, which are medieval siege engines. The event has grown in
size every year. The Science Channel's broadcast of the World Championship
Punkin Chunkin on Thanksgiving Day has helped fuel the growth of the sport
of pumpkin chucking. Last year eighteen teams from New York and around New
England competed at the VTPC Festival. Along with the pumpkin chuckin'
contest comes music, children's activities, a bounce house, chili cook-off,
mini-olympics, and great food; all creating an enjoyable fall day with
