farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm
stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple
roadside stands. Most have loads of pumpkins to choose from. To really make it
fun for your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a corn
maze, spook house, or hayride. There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of
course, the more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free.

Although most pumpkin patches and corn mazes are now closed, it
is time to tag your Christmas tree at a
Christmas tree farm (and enjoy a bonfire, smore, hot chocolate and
free hayrides, and often Santa visits! And next Spring, you'll want to take your
children to a free Easter egg hunt -

local zombie event or Zombie Paintball!.

- The CLA Game Fair at Belvoir
Castle - Faire

(usually open during August). It looks like they have discontinued the maize
maze but restarted the country fair.
- The Wistow Maze - cornfield
The Estate Office, Wistow Hall, near Great Glen, Leicestershire, LE8 0QF,

daily (last admission 4.30pm) 7 days a week from a Saturday in mid
July through the first Sunday in September;(then weekends only until Sunday
20th September). Enjoy a great day out exploring one of the country's
largest maize mazes, set in 8 acres of living maize and sunflower crop. It's
great exercise for mind and body! Perfect for all ages, with staff/office
outings even more popular than school trips! Refreshments, ice creams and
gifts are available in the FUNYARD. Opposite the maze is the Wistow Rural
Centre with a cafe/bistro, Mediterranean deli, garden centre, model village
(with trains), art gallery and a large variety of other shops (click on WRC

north towards Mablethorpe. We are situated approximately 1 mile
north of Ingoldmells just before reaching Chapel St Leonards. We are
open June, July, August. Our hours are: 7 Days a week, 9 am to 6
p.m. As well as PYO crops we always have ready picked fruit
available. We welcome orders for large quantities or special
occasions. In the farm shop we also sell our own grown new potatoes,
cauliflowers, cabbage, beetroot, carrots, peas, broad beans,
sweetcorn and salads and pumpkins (October time). Our farm shop will
be open from early June when we will have our first strawberries
available along with the new potatoes and fresh vegetables.
Raspberries and currants follow in early July. Our Sunday Car Boot
Sales start in June and if you want to come and stay at Willows Farm
