G. Pop's Farm Facebook page. In August we set up our “you pick” market at the apple orchard,
1201 Country Club Drive, in Pleasant Hill. Our “picker” guests purchase a basket or sack and get instruction for the locations of their favorite
apples. Then, off they go! Our trees are not so tall, so apples can be reached from the ground. We also make available freshly harvested honey, and
beeswax items for sale. And the beehives are in plain sight! This is fun for all!
In September, we go out to the farm for a wide variety of
pumpkins, as well as ornamental corn and sunflowers. Our pumpkins are graded large, medium, and the popular mini-pumpkins. Park under the pecan
trees and we have several fields within easy walking distance. Take family pictures in the sunflowers or with the old truck or tractor up next to
the barn! Check your cornhusker skills picking your own ornamental corn and get easy instruction on making a cornhusk doll.

Corn Maze - corn maze
17607 N.E. 52nd St., Liberty,
MO 64068. Phone: 816-820-5388. Email:
[email protected]. Open: weekends from Friday, September
8th until Sunday, October 29th at 5 pm; Friday: 5 pm to 10 pm (last
admission), Saturday:10 am to 10 pm (last admission), Sunday: 10 am
to 5 pm (last admission) . This maze is comprised of a 50 inch wide
trail cut out of a farmer's field of corn into an elaborate design.
Using Global Positioning Satellite (GPS), the maze is cut with
pin-point accuracy allowing an aerial viewer to see intricacies of
the images and letters in the maze. Throughout the maze there are
several bridges that elevate each adventurer to the top of the corn
for additional excitement. From the top of the bridges a birds-eye
view of the maze can be seen, and if lost it allows maze players to
form a new strategy to get out or further into the maze. There
are eight distinct mazes at the Liberty Corn Maze. A rope, rock,
tire and soybean maze offer the perfect height and distance for the
Lil' Sprouts in the family. The large corn maze offers a total of
four different mazes, with varying lengths and difficulty, for those
that are more adventurous. These trickier mazes come with a map and
punch card for the 6 check points in each of the four large mazes.
Each check point has a unique hole punch to guide and assist with
the journey. The challenge is to become a Maize Master and get all 6
punches in each maze attempted. Depending on your speed and ability
to navigate the maze will determine the length of time it will take
you to get through the maze(s). Yes you could get lost, but we have
Corn Helpers and spotters to help navigate those who might have
gotten turned around. As well as the mazes, we have an entertainment
area with large tents for hosting group parties or corporate events
as well as a playground area for smaller children. Contact us to
book your private party or corporate event. We also have an on-site
concession where you can purchase Pepsi products and other snacks,
flashlights, and more.

A visitor writes on October 18, 2010:
"Just and FYI - they do not "gather pumpkins" from the fields.. they
were not "picked from the fields" they were in fact - SHIPPED IN. In
the back of the property line were huge cardboard bins filled with
pumpkins that you would see at the grocery store or your local Wal
Mart. We were VERY disapointed and felt it was bad advertising and
much to much money for the activities they had. Also, AFTER you paid
$6.00 a person (a 4 year old was also $6.00..) many of the
"activities" (minus a few) you had to pay an ADDITIONAL amount for.
(You had to pay $5.00 or $6.00 for face painting..) Anyway, we will
not go back to Faulkners Ranch."
