Looking for a local pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayride, gourds and other
Halloween activities in Central New Jersey? Scroll down this page and you will see the
all of those in Central New Jersey, sorted by county. Some are
farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm
stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple
roadside stands. Most have loads of pumpkins to choose from. To really make it
fun for your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a corn
maze, spook house, or hayride. There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of
course, the more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free.

see their own website, Facebook page or call them before you go.
NOTE: Many of the farms are dropping their websites and switching to Facebook pages - but they don't tell
anyone, including search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo or us, or redirect their website, thus breaking all links to them. If a link is broken
please click the "click here to report a broken link or blank page" so we can find the replacement link! Thanks!

A visitor writes on
September 25, 2010: (positive)
"The comment made about Windsor farm is hardly true at all. They are
a local farm with wonderful things going on. Paying to get in is
what keeps this place open! The writer with the negative comment
must have been a benny and should stay at Fright Fest at 6 Flags or
something. My fiance has been going to Windsor Farm since he was
young and we 've taken our daughter there since she was a baby. This
will be her 4th year going. It 's enjoyable, local and a nice place
to relax and have fun. Windsor Farm isn 't a rip off at all."
A visitor writes on August
03, 2010: (positive) "To the 2009 writer who complained about the Windsor
Farm Market Pumpkin Fest...that's how all pick-your-owns do
festivals like that. You pay to get in, enjoy the atmosphere, yes
buy a pumpkin by size. They're local farms, do your part to support
them. If you just want to walk in and be given a cheap pumpkin and
then leave go to Walmart. I think whoever wrote that comment must
not be familiar with autumn in the northeast. That's a pumpkin
festival, and we love 'em! "
A visitor writes on October
16, 2009: (negative) "We went to the Pumpkin Festival on 10/11/09. This was
more like a pumpkin nightmare! They get you into the parking lot and
you have to walk through a building to see the "festival"; however
you must pay $6.00 per adult to enter the "festival"! We asked what
we were paying the $6.00 per adult for and the man said we get a
hayride. OK, so we parked took our baby out of the car(put her in
the stroller...etc...) walked all the way to the doors, so we
figured, we should go and see why all these people are here...we pay
to get in and walk through the building. We get to the other side
and see a band, a place to get hamburgers (which you have to buy
tickets to purchase) a goat, oops sorry petting zoo... and the
hayride. That was it! We paid $12.00 too listen to a crappy band! So
we go on the hayride, which there aren't any bails of hay to sit on,
you sit on the floor. Then they dump you into a "pumpkin patch” and
hand you a bag! The driver of the tractor never said a WORD to us,
just handed my husband a white plastic shopping bag! So rude! So I
said well at least for the $12.00 we get a pumpkin. I pick out
pumpkins (which were dumped here, not growing here) and proceed to
exit. You have to PAY FOR THE PUMPKIN!!!! BY SIZE!!!!!!!!! They
should have told us something!!! How ridiculous!!! I would not
recommend this Windsor Farm Pumpkin Festival to ANYONE in my area!!!
I know A LOT of people in my town and the word will get spread that
it's a total RIP-OFF!!!! Don't go and spread the word!!!"

A visitor writes on September 27, 2010: "Nice place to go apple and pumpkin picking but there
isn't much for the kids to do. If you are looking for corn mazes or
other stuff while you are there this is not the place. The apples
are either a walk or a short drive away from where the store is. "

A visitor writes on September 27, 2010: "This
was very nice for the kids to go pumpkin picking. They had a haybale
stack for the kids to climb up tp the top. They also had a haybale
maze for the kids to play in. They also had a pony ride for an
additional fee. Also, a large corn maze too. Their market had lots of yummy homemade treats like pies and donuts.
We were accompanied on our hayride with a talking "scarecrow" that
made the ride a lot of fun, he was great! Just be aware that there
is no apple picking here.
