Looking for a local pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayride, gourds and other
Halloween activities in Southeastern South Dakota? Scroll down this page and you will see the
all of those in Southeastern South Dakota, sorted by county. Some are
farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm
stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple
roadside stands. Most have loads of pumpkins to choose from. To really make it
fun for your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a corn
maze, spook house, or hayride. There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of
course, the more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free.

Open: SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER, Fridays 11 am to 8 pm, Saturdays 10 am to 8 pm, Sundays 10 am to 6 pm. Great attractions and entertainment for the whole family! For the
safety of our petting zoo animals and ponies, we kindly ask you to leave your pets at home. 2022 Admission into the festival is $10 per person on Fridays
and $14 per person Saturdays and Sundays. Kids under 35” are free. Season passes are available for purchase as well for $35 per person. The Country
Store, corn maze, tractor rides to pick apples during the apple picking season and pumpkin patch season are open Fridays 11 am – 8 pm, Saturdays 10 am – 8 pm and Sundays 10 am – 6 pm all of September and October. The U-Pick Pay Shack is located outside of the festival grounds so you do not need to pay admission to
come out and enjoy the orchard’s apple picking and pumpkin patch! Once you pull up to the vast farm, you’ll be met with the hard predicament of what
to do first. Between the petting zoo, corn maze, and pony rides, you’ll have a stacked list of activities to keep the kids occupied all day long.
Don’t think County Apple Orchards forgot about the adults! While the kids are getting lost in the endless fall fun, you can check out the County Apple Beer
garden for indulging in some craft beer and cider. Directions: The orchard is located 5 miles south
of Sioux Falls, on Minnesota Avenue.

We have approximately 6,000 trees with thirteen varieties to satisfy
everyone's tastes. We also plant seven acres of pumpkins. Harvesting begins
in Mid-August, and continues into late October. Please come out and enjoy a
day in the country! We have many exciting fall events and new attractions

Pumpkin Festival on a weekend in mid October: Enjoy the country with a
horse-drawn hayride to one of the many pumpkin patches, pony rides, food,
inflatable playground, train rides, Kettle-Korn, face painting, Children's
Barn & lots of fun.
