Wayside Farm Fun is an idyllic farm setting for families looking
for the ultimate farm adventure this fall with amazing views of
the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wayside Farm Fun is our fall farm
playground destination. In order to give our customers a fun fall
destination experience with a huge corn maze, hay rides, and fall
activities, we partnered with a 125 acre working farm located
directly off 7 in Berryville, VA. This destination farm is 20
minutes west of our Hamilton location and brings a large variety
of entertainment and activities for families and school groups in
the fall, including our popular, family-friendly 5K that raises
money for the Loudoun Breast Health Network. (link that to 5K
page on the Wayside Farm web site). We grow our famous heirloom
pumpkins in an 8 acre U-pick patch right there on the farm at
Wayside, so you can pick your pumpkins while enjoying a family
fun day on the farm. Watch the pig races, get lost in the maze or
sit under the tree and play pumpkin checkers. Pumpkins of every
shape, color and size are plentiful in our 8-acre u-pick pumpkin
field. There is no admission to enter the pumpkin field - you pay
for just what you pick. Admission fee includes all activities
except pumpkins. Pumpkins for the pumpkin gun and pumpkins to
take home are an additional fee. (UPDATED: October 14, 2019, JBS)

A visitor
writes on November 15, 2011: "ALL profits go to charities. The
church keeps NONE of the money. It also benefits the Navajo Indians of
Northern New Mexico, where the pumpkins are grown on irrigated tribal
lands using controlled farming conditions which make for a superb
yearly crop available at modest prices. Parishioners volunteer to help
during the 3+ weeks of this project by unloading all of the pumpkins
themselves in a "bucket brigade" style, by staffing the patch during
selling times, and by providing the breads, harvest soups, cupcakes,
cider, and autumn craft items. Apple crisps, truly a staple of the
ICOH parish-made products, are mouth-watering and raise an incredible
amount of money."

25, 2011: "It is an enjoyable experience to be there. There are
unique items in the market that you can't find anywhere else, like;
homemade Salsa that has been given rave reviews; fig conserve that
has been toasted as the best ever. New items are being added all the
time. I look forward to the fall recipes that will be offered; like:
pumpkin pie spice, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin bread, roasted pumpkin
seeds, apple cider, and more. All crops are grown organically. They
have preserves, jams, jellies, marmalade and honey. The honey comes
right from the farm, raw and no additives. They have 9 varieties of
figs growing. There is a pick your own pumpkin patch which has
several varieties of pumpkins, gourds and squash growing. The new
cow train is awesome. It is 10 cars that look like cows pulled by a
tracker. There is also an in-ground inflatable pillow, which is huge
in size; it is a big hit with children and adults. The hayride has
been spookafide for Halloween; plus the barn. It is 300 acres of
play ground with new attractions being added"
