Some are farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple roadside stands.  Most have loads of pumpkins to choose from.  To really make it fun for  your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a maize maze, spook house, or hayride.  There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of course, the  more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free. ALWAYS call before you go to confirm the info, they don't always report changes to me!

Rhubarb Farm grows vegetables for sale to individuals, local retailers, pubs and restaurants. The main focus of our growing is to supply weekly veg bags to customers who pay by Standing Order and collect their own bags, and surplus veg is then sold locally.  We supply fresh produce and bunches of cottage garden flowers on a weekly basis to the Welbeck Farm Shop, and supply fresh produce and edible flowers to the School of Artisan Food for their courses and events. We also supply on an occasional basis the Hostess Restaurant, Warsop, The Elm Tree pub at Elmton, and the White Lion pub in Bolsover.     Farm venue: Hold your meetings at the Farm and support a social enterprise.  Use the Village Green for a staff picnic or family party.  Hold your team away day at the Farm.  We can provide meal, drinks and entertainment services to suit your needs.
    Farm weddings: Why not consider having your wedding at Rhubarb Farm?  We offer a quirky and ethical venue which can be tailor-made to your needs. A marquee on the Village Green, pizzas from the outdoor pizza oven, barbecue hire, and staff and volunteers to support your event, Rhubarb Farm is a great alternative and thrifty option for the socially conscious.  We can arrange a bar, entertainers and special requests. We now grow 10 acres of traditionally grown strawberries (8 different varieties), 3 acres of raspberries along with gooseberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants and blackberries.   • The Wistow Maze - cornfield maze

Enjoy a great day out exploring one of the country's largest maize mazes, set in 8 acres of living maize and sunflower crop. It's great exercise for mind and body! Perfect for all ages, with staff/office outings even more popular than school trips! Refreshments, ice creams and gifts are available in the FUNYARD. Opposite the maze is the Wistow Rural Centre with a cafe/bistro, Mediterranean deli, garden centre, model village (with trains), art gallery and a large variety of other shops (click on WRC link for more details). Lincolnshire

Or, if you like to be spooked, join us for Halloween from the 23rd October - 1st November when the maze gets a Halloween makeover and 9 creepy characters lurk within its depths. Find them all and escape…if you can! . After you've picked your pumpkin you can visit the carving station - take your own tools or buy them in the shop.

We are situated approximately 1 mile north of Ingoldmells just before reaching Chapel St Leonards. We are open June, July, August. Our hours are: 7 Days a week, 9 am to 6 p.m. As well as PYO crops we always have ready picked fruit available. We welcome orders for large quantities or special occasions. In the farm shop we also sell our own grown new potatoes, cauliflowers, cabbage, beetroot, carrots, peas, broad beans, sweetcorn and salads and pumpkins (October time). Our farm shop will be open from early June when we will have our first strawberries available along with the new potatoes and fresh vegetables. Raspberries and currants follow in early July. Our Sunday Car Boot Sales start in June and if you want to come and stay at Willows Farm we now have a small caravan site.

Northamptonshire

We’ll provide the wheelbarrows and buckets (or you can bring your own) and you might want to bring the wellies and coats.  FREE ENTRY. Pumpkins start from 50p. We have LOADS of traditional carving pumpkins and LOADS of gorgeous ornamental ones. All shapes and sizes!  Come to Grange Farm in Farndish NN29 7HJ and use the farm entrance on the road between Farndish and Wollaston. We’ll also be sampling and selling our amazing Saxby’s Cider Apple Juice. Afterwards you can pop into the cider shop on the yard too. Payment: cash and credit cards.
