farms, where you take a hay ride out into the field, others are elaborate farm
stands with mountains of pumpkins and other activities and some are simple
roadside stands. Most have loads of pumpkins to choose from. To really make it
fun for your kids, look for those that have the extra activities, like a maize
maze, spook house, or hayride. There is usually a small fee for the mazes (of
course, the more elaborate mazes tend to charge more. Hayrides are often free.

Follow the pumpkin signs from the A228 Ratcliffe Highway, Chattenden
Head towards Kingsnorth Power Station.

the field where they were grown although there will be pumpkins
available in crates if you don't want to go in to the field. Wellington
boots, boots or sturdy shoes recommended. It could be wet and muddy,
this is a real farm so grass and mud! You might want to bring gloves as
stalks can be prickly. All pumpkins will be cut off storks so don't need
to bring sharp cutting implements. Pumpkins could be wet or muddy so
plastic bags might save your car getting dirty. No dogs please, but all
the family welcome.

amount of pumpkins in the fields for pick your own! When it rains, the fields get muddy so please bring your
wellies and strong bags to put your pumpkins in. We have a large hard standing car park and toilets on site.
A. 'Pick Your Own' usually begins in June with stawberries, gooseberries and spinach. (Weather depending). We
have a wide selection of fruits and vegetables to pick your own through out the season. According to a visitor:
Hewitts was up to 20 years ago the largest farm in Europe. Now much of it is golf courses but they still grow
Strawberries, Gooseberries, Spinach, Raspberries, Broad Beans, Peas, Cabbage, Beetroot, French Beans,
Cauliflower, Broccoli, Various Plums and Apples etc. (all in roughly chronological order). They are only 1
minute away from the nearest M25 junction (number 4). Sundays is always immensely busy! They also have a BBQ
area.

Adventure Playground and through the Woodland Trail. You will need a
valid ‘Gardens and Grounds' ticket to visit the maze which will be free
to visit for enshurst Place season ticket holders. All children to be
accompanied by an adult in the maize maze. But adults need not be
accompanied by children!
